Objective:

 To create awareness among students about the various diseases arising from the day-to-day activities of people which could be prevented or managed by controlling the life style. The course also covers the general aspects of diagnosis, methods of prevention and pharmaceutical intervention.

Expected outcome:

This Certificate course will provide students the knowledge and competencies needed to facilitate behaviour change interventions in the areas of nutrition and physical fitness. They will learn how to perform nutrition assessment and prescription, evaluation of different components of physical activity and the health risks of overweight and obesity, clinical management of obesity with lifestyle therapy, and the principles of designing a successful weight loss program.
